Our traditional CYT camp has offerings for students ages 5-12. Camps are designed to be a fun and energetic immersion into the world of musical theater. Camps are jam-packed with games, activities, and interactive workshops that build performance skills, self-confidence, and teamwork. Typical camps include rotations through drama, dance, music, and concludes with a showcase for family and friends! Full day camps are Monday thru Friday, 8:30-3:00 (bring a sack lunch). Half day camps are Monday thru Friday, 8:30-12:00 (dismissed before lunch), with an exception on Friday, when campers will stay until 3:00 for rehearsals and the showcase (please pack a lunch that day.)
This year, we also have a NEW camp for families! Families (can be any number of people), or friend groups of 4-6, will come up with a short act (5-10 minutes) of their own to perform (singing, acting or dancing). Camp time will be spent with a choreographer and vocal coach to learn a company opening and closing number, with time to also polish individual acts. We will perform our "revue" style showcase on Friday evening, open to all friends and family! This camp is from Monday thru Friday, 6:30-8:30 to accommodate for work schedules.
